Magic Makers, in March 1954, said “We are happy to announce that the splendid Shield has no arrived and is on display at Bernard’s Magic Shop. It is truly a magnificent trophy, size about 24″ by 20″. A silver scroll at the top will be egraved ‘Australian Society of Magicians’. A scoll at the bottom will have the workds ‘For the Advancement of Magic’. In the centre is a large silver embosssed shield which will be engraved ‘The Levenate Shield’. Then there are twelve small shields surrounding the centrepiece. On these will be enrgaved each year the name of the winnder of the year. The Shield will remain the property of the ASM in perpetuity and will be hung in the ASM Theatrette.
